Red Hot Research returns for three sessions this fall, offering a fast-paced, presentation-style event from The Commons at the University of Kansas as a way of introducing colleagues to one another.

Events are planned Sept. 29, Oct. 27 and Nov. 3. All begin at 4 p.m. and will take place at Watson Library, 3 West.

The first event Sept. 29 has a theme of “Activism, Power and Gender” and will feature the following KU presenters:

  • Rana Esfandiary, assistant professor in the Department of Theatre & Dance
  • Kelly Sharron, assistant teaching professor in the Department of Sociology and of Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies
  • Christina Holt, assistant director, Center for Community Health & Development, part of the Life Span Institute
  • Faye Xiao, professor in the Department of East Asian Languages & Cultures
  • Alesia Woszidlo, associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies
