Biography

Elizabeth Anderson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Kansas and a faculty affiliate of the Institute for Policy & Social Research (IPSR). Dr. Anderson is a medical sociologist who uses multiple methods to examine disparities in sexual and reproductive healthcare utilization. In particular, she is interested in the role of health policy and broader social forces in women’s ability to access healthcare that aligns with their needs. Her published work has appeared in journals such as Science Advances, Social Science & Medicine – Population Health, and PLOS ONE.
